1 - Town Hall on School Cuts -- Jim will be holding a town hall on Thursday, Oct. 27, to meet with residents, hear their concerns and answer any questions regarding the Governor and legislative Republicans' massive and unnecessary cuts to our schools.  Jim will be joined by State Rep. Ellen Cogen Lipton (D-Huntington Woods) who is a member of the House Appropriations School Aid Subcommittee; and Mary Ann Cleary, Director of the House Fiscal Agency.   Fight School Cuts Task Force Meeting Thursday, October 27 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Royal Oak Public Library Auditorium 222 E. 11 Mile Road Royal Oak  

2 - October Coffee Hours -- Jim will be holding a series of coffee hours this month. These informal gatherings give you the chance to meet your State Representative face to face to share your thoughts, ideas and concerns about legislative or local issues. The coffee hours will take place on:  

• Monday, Oct. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Seros Restaurant, 375 W. 12 Mile Road in Madison Heights.

 

• Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10:30 am. to 12 p.m. at Caribou Coffee, 401 S. Main St. in Royal Oak.
